Before becoming a Voice Artist, I played the lead in stage shows, toured schools around Australia and featured in several TVCs, as well as working as a dancer and choreographer for stage and TV.
This led me to discover voice work, where I was naturally drawn to the creative process, collaboration and focused form of expression. I began voicing radio plays, TVCs and most recently an audiobook, where I have enjoyed giving characters from all walks of life their own voice.
RECENT WORK
Bolinda audio
‘The Covered Wife’ Audiobook was a 400 page manuscript with over 40 characters. The challenge was to keep track of their distinct sounds, styles and emotional journeys, remaining consistent with up to seven individual voices on a page. The work included Hebrew songs and prayers.
PPS Mutual
In this advertisement for the Australian branch of investment company, PPS Mutual, my voice replaced the original South African male voice over track.
It was necessary that it was Australian, approachable and professional without being matey, informal or intimidating.
AJFN
This haunting piece offers an intimate glimpse into the life of a woman confronting infertility and its challenges.
The brief was to deliver a raw and authentic conversation to allow the audience to connect to the character and stimulate open conversation.
pop’d
In addition to voicing this online commercial, I obtained quotes, booked the recording studio and delivered the audio track to the interstate client – all within 72 hours of receiving the visual.
The script called for a relatable, vibrant “mum’s voice”, familiar and dependable.
AMP
For their in-house video, AMP asked that my voice reflect a corporate professional – clear and confident.
The voice over needed a balance of leadership and empathy, validating the company’s genuine commitment to listening to their staff.
